Resources for a skilled workforce
The WICCO funds key community agencies that provide employment and training solutions for job seekers and laid off workers. WorkForce Development @ Clackamas Community College works with the WICCO to prepare individuals for in demand jobs that lead to solid career options.
Services include the following:
• Skills Assessment - includes all assessment tools
• Career Information – labor market data on hot jobs and the skills needed to succeed
• Workforce Consultations – counseling to determine a plan of action to obtain and/or improve skills
• Career Search – helps to match the skills with the right job and career path via workshops, job search methods, resume writing, interviewing etc.
• Job Training and Education – supports the building of skills through job training and education options
• Laid Off Worker Assistance – assists dislocated workers with an evaluation of their current skill sets, identification of transferable skills and options to support them during their transitional times
